Apple has released iOS 18.0.1 and iPadOS 18.0.1 as minor updates to the major iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 updates that were rolled out over two weeks ago. These minor updates fix a few issues with touch screen on iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models, as well camera freezing issue on the latest smartphones. There are also some security fixes included in this release related to Passwords and Media Session.
If you are on the stable iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 version, simply go to Settings > General > Software Update on your device to download and install the new software update. Alternatively, you can also download iOS 18.0.1 and iPadOS 18.0.1 IPSW firmware files to clean install the update on your iPhone or iPad.

The touch issue had been widely reported by users – if you are one of them, make sure to update as soon as possible.
This is also the first major bug-free iPadOS 18 update for M4 iPad Pro models. The original iPadOS 18 release for M4 iPad Pro models was pulled by Apple as it was reportedly bricking devices. If you were already on iPadOS 18.1 developer beta, you wouldn’t have noticed this issue.
